AI located A&C as a good choice for property accounting advice, especially as they offer an initial free consultation. After an first contact, a free consultation was quickly arranged and one of their staff, Steph Chiu was very helpful on the call and in a follow up email, although in the end she felt another company was better placed to offer us more specialist advice.

I have had one or two accountants in my life and I can say that A&C are friendly and professional but so were the others when the sun was shining. However in this pandemic more truer colours have been revealed in so many ways and it would have been oh so easy to adopt an attitude of 'every man for himself' which I have experienced from others long long ago, but as a breath of welcome fresh air I have found that A&C went above and beyond and couldn't have been any more supportive. A&C have shown their true colours and in my experience warrant five stars and I for one owe them my gratitude. I think this is my second google review ever, which says it all really as sometimes you just want to give credit to where credit is due.

Amazing support throughout! For someone who is illiterate in finances and taxes, the team (and Paul in particular) have been great at leading me through my accounts with thorough explanations and on time submissions. When I decided to use their services my taxes were not in a great shape due to previous poor accountancy services (late in filling and penalties) and A&C have managed to get everything sorted and brought to date within days. Would definitely recommend anytime!

On Jan 28th this year, I checked into my HMRC account to fill in my self assessment as usual where I found out that I owe HMRC 12000 pounds! This was a big surprise to me and I had no idea what was going on. I desperately called different accounting firms to help me, however as you can imagine, all firms were fully booked and no one had time before the 31st Jan deadline. After checking several firms, I called A&C as one of the firms popping up in my google search and Paul was very kind to help me. He used an app, connected to my laptop, went through my P60 and P45 and quickly making the calculation. As it turned out, my employer made a mistake and used a wrong tax code and hence I was actually owing HMRC the money. He was highly efficient and knowledgable, went above and beyond to help me and didn't even charge me for the time he spent on the phone with me. I highly recommend their service and would definitely use them in future, whenever I need help with tax or accounting.

Having never had a Personal Accountant or Tax advisor, I met (in person) with the team at A&C to discuss 3 things which I needed advice on - and to see if they could help. During the 45 minutes we went through my points, but A&C ended up advising me I could achieve most of these things myself (rather than pay a service). They provided some advice on where to look, and I was thankful for their honesty and openness! Would recommend to anyone who doesn't know if they need professional support or not, A&C will advise you the best path to follow.

Paul is incredible. I received a surprise penalty from the HMRC and this was my first time working with an accountant and couldn't have been any happier with Paul. He took his time to understand the problem over the phone, connected to my computer to look at my accounts and within less than 15 minutes had identified the issue and made really sound recommendations.
